21st Apr Outdoor session - Home Farm, Middle Assendon ( Clive ) Laura Heard's farm where we will see polo ponies being prepared and exercised during the morning. Some will be tied up for us at the stables while others will be spectacularly exercised around the field ( four in hand sometimes. ) There is an American Barn if we need to dive indoors. Details will be mailed out to you.
28 Apr Herb Farm Sonning Common, Peppard Road. RG4 9RJ ( Paddy ) www.herbfarm.co.uk At this popular venue there are interesting buildings and plants and pots galore not forgetting the excellent cafe and a loo. Please bring some cash to use in the cafe and even buy a plant if you wish. Park with thought for the customers who may want to shop there.
5 May Ewelme OX10 6HU (Robbie/Helen) Meet near the school, then paint or sketch in the Almshouse cloisters or churchyard or anywhere in between. In the church if raining.
12 May Green and Gorgeous, South Stoke OX10 6AX (Helen) http://www.greenandgorgeousflowers.co.uk/findus Commercial flower growers. £5 charge, refreshments provided. Shelter in poly-tunnels if necessary. Loo.
19 May Caversham Court Gardens (Linda) Park in The Warren, off St Peter's Hill, Caversham and walk through the churchyard to get to Caversham Court Gardens. The suggestion is that we meet and paint at the riverside, looking at barges coming from under the bridge against the light. Your chance to do a Monet... Coffee shop opens at 11. Not sure about loos.
26 May Withymead Nature Reserve. RG8 0HS (Edward) Between Goring and South Stoke. www.withymead.co.uk A riverside reserve with woodland, old buildings including a forge, a slipway in a wild setting. Bring your own coffee. Small amount of shelter. Loos. The ground could be wet or muddy so wear appropriate footwear.
9 Jun Nuffield Place, Huntercombe. RG9 5RY (Helen) www.nationaltrust.org.uk/nuffield-place The NT property owned by Lord Nuffield, industrialist and one of the country's greatest benefactors. Tea room and house if shelter required. Remember your NT card otherwise £8 entry. Note that the public are not allowed in until 11am but Helen has arranged access to the grounds at 10am for NewHearnsArt.

30 Jun Chalkhouse Green Farm, RG49AL (Mr & Mrs Hall) www.chg.com (Helen) Beautiful house and gardens, farm buildings, pond, rare breeds. Mrs Hall will ply us with coffee and cake and would appreciate a donation (about £5) to their charity, Soundabout (communication through music for children with disabilities). From Henley, take the Peppard Rd to Emmer Green, turn right into Kidmore End Rd and follow this till you see a red telephone box and finger post pointing to Chalkhouse Green. Turn right and keep on to the end.
